VF JEDI RETURNS WINS FOR EIGHTH TIME AT REMINGTON PARK, CAPTURING BOB MOORE MEMORIAL STAKES

OKLAHOMA CITY – April 19, 2020 – There’s no place like home for VF Jedi Returns and he proved it Saturday night, winning for the eighth time at Remington Park, taking down the Grade 2, $40,400 Bob Moore Memorial Stakes.

Every time VF Jedi Returns has his wraps put on for show time, he is all business at this Oklahoma City track. He now has won 8-of-14 starts at Remington Park. Only two of his lifetime wins have come at out-of-town tracks. This 4-year old gelding, by High Rate of Return, from the Corona Cartel mare Corona Couture, went to the lead out of the gate in the Bob Moore and persevered to the end, winning by a head over EOS a Political Win, the betting favorite at 3-1 odds.

VF Jedi Returns was at 7-2 in the wagering and paid $9.60, $4.80 and $3.80 across the board. Juan Pulido was in the irons for owner Julio Contreras of Laredo, Texas, and trainer Rex Brooks. This horse was bred in Oklahoma by Victory Farms.

VF Jedi Returns hit the wire in a time of :15.324 on a fast track and posted a 93 speed index. EOS a Political Win was another neck ahead of third-place finisher Uncle Eds Idea (13-1).

VF Jedi Returns earned $24,876 for the victory and has now run 21 times with 10 wins, two seconds and four thirds. His career wallet fattened to the point of $248,233 earned.

The Bob Moore Memorial is named in honor of the Hall of Fame horseman who was prominent in American Quarter Horse racing for over four decades, operating from his Norman, Okla. farm.

Racing is scheduled to continue, with no public spectators, with Sunday’s 10-race card on tap with a new post time of 6 p.m. (Central) for the first race.
