The stall application for the upcoming Will Rogers Downs Fall Quarter Horse/Mixed Meet is now available. Applications are due by Sunday, August 2 and may be submitted in person at Fair Meadows or Will Rogers Downs, or emailed to Email Theresa Luneack.

OQHRA and Will Rogers Downs are excited to announce substantial purse increases for the upcoming meet. Quarter Horse overnight purses will see significant growth, while Paint and Appaloosa purses have also been increased and will now match the current Fair Meadows Tulsa purse structure.

Examples of the new overnight purses include:

• Quarter Horses
  • Open Allowance – $24,500
  • N2L Allowance – $19,200
  • Maiden – $18,500
     
• Paints & Appaloosas
  • Open Allowance – $13,200
  • N2L Allowance – $12,000
  • Maiden – $11,800

Another exciting addition for 2026 is the First Time Starter Bonus. Every horse making its first start in an overnight race at Will Rogers Downs will receive a $240 bonus, paid directly to the owner’s horsemen’s account. The bonus mirrors the successful program at Remington Park and is designed to help offset the cost of hair testing while encouraging greater participation from owners and trainers.

The meet was originally scheduled to begin September 7. However, Will Rogers Downs and OQHRA have requested approval from the Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission to move the opening day to September 14, with the meet concluding November 17. If approved, racing will be conducted on Mondays and Tuesdays to start the meet before expanding to Sunday through Tuesday later in the season.

IMPORTANT 

All Racing, Quarter Horses, Paints & Appaloosas entering the facility MUST provide a Negative Piroplasmosis Test within the Twelve Months (pony horses are exempt)

Every horse admitted onto the grounds must first provide at the stable gate a current health certificate (CVI) issued within 30 days of arrival at the track which shows the vaccination record of each horse.

No Quarter Horse, Paint or Appaloosa will be allowed to enter any race at Will Rogers Downs without a NEGATIVE HAIR TEST result facilitated by the OQHRA on file with the Racing Office within Ninety (90) Days of the Race Date.
