JOHNSON CONTINUES STREAK OF FIRST ARRIVALS AT REMINGTON PARK

OKLAHOMA CITY – February 1, 2021 – The 2021 Remington Park American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa Season begins on March 4. Trainer Tammy Johnson, as always, is ready to race. She was the first to arrive with horses into the stable area this morning, marking her fifth consecutive year with that distinction.

Johnson entered the stable area at 12:01am, literally seconds after it opened for the arrival of horses ready to compete this spring. She brought 12 athletes with her from her farm in Gatesville, Texas. After getting that dozen settled in barn C-6, she was right back on the road to retrieve another set of horses from home to Remington Park.

Johnson has been first into Remington Park with horses every year since her streak began in 2017. She utilizes the entirety of time allowed to train at Remington Park, with the first horses allowed to step on the racing surface tomorrow morning, Tuesday, Feb. 2.

During the 2020 season, Johnson had six wins from 52 attempts, with seven seconds and another seven third-place finishes.

Once underway, the 2021 Remington Park Quarter Horse Season will continue for 50 dates through May 29.
