OKLAHOMA CITY - March 6, 2019 -- Five different trainers and five different jockeys filled out the field for the final of the Restricted Grade 1, $895,210 Remington Park Futurity by qualifying five more 2-year-old Oklahoma-bred American Quarter Horses in the trials Saturday.

The fastest qualifier on Saturday was Uptowne Babe, who got to the finish line first in trial number two of 11 heats, stopping the clock in 16.857 seconds for the 330 yards on a track labeled muddy. Jockey Rolando Raudales was in the irons for trainer Guillermo Valdivia. This filly, sired by Mr Jess Perry, out of the FDD Dynasty mare Ms Southern Dynasty, also had the top Speed Index for the two nights of trials, earning an 88 for the win.

Uptowne Babe is owned by Sam Green of Monett, Mo. She was bred in Oklahoma by the owner.

Trainer Josue Ponce and jockey Jesse Levario qualified two for the finals, set to be run on Saturday, April 20. James Flores, Remington Park’s leading rider, also qualified two for the finals, both on night one of the trials. They were the two fastest qualifiers on Friday, April 5.
