OKLAHOMA CITY - Wednesday, February 20, 2019 -- Just one day after sleet and snow fell at Remington Park, sunny skies greeted Wednesday training race competitors. Lady Six Sky made a rally to win the seventh training race of the afternoon, posting the top 250-yard time of the session, over a fast track.

Bred and owned by Reliance Ranches of Guthrie, Okla., Lady Six Sky is trained by Mike Robbins and was ridden by Ruben Castro. The Oklahoma-bred 2-year-old filly crossed the finish in :13.704, winning her race by a head into a mild headwind of 11mph. Lady Six Sky is a daughter of Valiant Hero from the Feature Mr Jess mare Huckleberry Mojito.

Wednesday’s training races were conducted in temperatures ranging from the mid to high 40s. The headwind ranged from 11 to 15mph over the eight races.

Remington Park will conduct another eight training races on Thursday morning, beginning at 11am.

The 2019 Remington Park Quarter Horse season begins Friday, March 8, and continues for 50 dates, through Saturday, June 1.
