Attention Horseman! IMPORTANT HAIR TESTING Information...

Collections will be held M-W-F-S at 10am. -- Appointments need to be made by noon the day before.

If less than 10 horses are scheduled on a day, those horses will be moved to the following testing day.

📍THE FINAL DAY TO HAVE A HORSE TESTED WILL BE MAY 20TH. -- To schedule call or text (405) 640-2628.

⚠️ All horses tested now are good through the end of the meet.
⚠️ It takes 7-10 Business days for results to be back and you will not be able to enter if the test is not back.
⚠️ If you have already tested and the horse has ran, it does not need to be tested to run again in an overnight race, regardless of it's test date.
⚠️ Horses running in trials of stakes races must have a clean test within 45 days of the trials. Even if they have already started in a race, they must have a date not more than 45 days before the trials!
⚠️ Graham Futurity horses need a test date of 4/3 or later, the last safe day to test is 5/4.



Tulsa, Oklahoma - April 26, 2019 -- Racing Secretary John Lies has set May 10 as the due date for stall applications for the upcoming Fair Meadows race meet in Tulsa Oklahoma.   The meet will open on Thursday June 6th and will offer 34 days of live mixed breed racing through July 27.   "For the past several years we have held a meet around large construction projects on the fairgrounds, and we are so excited to be in the new facilities for the meet this year" said Debbie Schauf, OQHRA Executive Director.   "The facilities are really top of the line this year!"

OHRC Rule Changes

The Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission has proposed many new rule changes for 2019 that apply to veterinarians, stewards, medication issues, and Oklahoma bred program requirements. The period for public comment is now open and anyone can provide comment to the commission regarding the proposed changes. You can find these proposed changes at www.ohrc.org  The website is under construction so click the link in the middle of the page to go to the old website and  on the home page you will find a series of boxes that give the rule number and a link to click on to read the text. Underline is new language, strike through is language being deleted. If you have any questions, the OHRC phone number is 405-943-6472 or you can call OQHRA 405-216-0440 and we will try to help you.
